Black, White, and Greenery Wedding at Serra Plaza

Amelia and Colin met inside the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look. A squeeze of the shoulders turned Colin around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a silky white wedding dress. The couple shared sweet compliments, posed for photos around the Mission, then headed back to Serra Plaza to join their wedding party for group pictures before ceremony.

Guests entered the front gate, signed the bride and groom’s guest book, and headed into the Courtyard. Greenery and white floral arrangements lined the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain at the head. Once everyone was in attendance, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances ending with Amelia. In front of all their closest friends and family, Colin and Amelia read their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the deal with a kiss.

Inside the Lounge, Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Crab Cakes, and Caprese Skewers made their rounds. A stationary Charcuterie Tray was also available to hungry guests. Old Fashioned and French 75 signature drinks were served while everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head back outside for reception.

Tables were topped with light floral arrangements and black details, and overhead, sparkling chandeliers hung from the trees. A live band serenaded Amelia and Colin’s grand entrance and first dance, then the couple took a seat at their sweetheart table. Pear and Walnut Salad was served, and toasts were shared. Following the salad course was Chicken Veronique and Short Rib Rotolo Bolzano with Haricot Verts and Gourmet Mashed Potatoes. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Arielle. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their two-tiered white cake with lemon creme filling and chocolate cake with raspberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in our Gourmet Dessert Station with a collection of Mini Lemon Curd Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Mini Carrot Cupcakes, and Caramel Creme with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots. The evening ended with lots of dancing out on the dance floor and a bubble send off.
